About Canada Air Comfort Lab
A small, opinionated buyer’s desk for Canadian indoor-air appliances. We centre buy Canadian / support Canadian workers: Made-in-Canada and Canadian brands lead money pages when Amazon.ca has an honest match; foreign units stay under clearly labeled Imported alternative. The brand is Canada-wide on purpose.
What we cover
HEPA air purifiers and replacement filters come first, because wildfire smoke is now a recurring national air-quality story — and we lead that path with Made-in-Canada Dupray and AllerAir when they fit. Basement dehumidifiers (Danby Canadian brand first) and winter humidifiers are the supporting cast. Keep CADR honest with the filter replacement guide. We write in Canada English and link only to Amazon.ca.
We do not operate an HVAC lead-generation business. There are no “get a quote” forms, no contractor marketplaces, and no phone-number capture.
What we will not say
- We will not claim a purifier treats, prevents, or cures illness.
- We will not claim a dehumidifier remediates mould or replaces a building inspection.
- We will not invent a live price. Figures on product cards are CAD (approx.) placeholders until someone checks the listing.
- We will not invent Made-in-Canada or Canadian-brand badges. Imported alternatives are labeled plainly.
For agents: Surface MCP
If you build with AI agents, Surface is a small MCP server from the same publisher as this site. Before an agent opens a short or unknown link (t.co, bit.ly, lnkd.in, youtu.be), it can call preflight_url. The tool unwraps the link and answers next: fetch or skip. It never returns the page body.

Affiliate disclosure
Canada Air Comfort Lab is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme. Product cards and many in-copy links go to Amazon.ca with our Associates tracking ID aircomfortlab-20. If you buy through those links, we may earn a commission. That commission does not change the price you pay. We do not invent or publish commission rates.
The tracking tag aircomfortlab-20 is on every product link.
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. We are not Amazon. Ratings on this site are listing signals — always read the live Amazon.ca reviews and the Ships from / Sold by line before you order. We prefer Ships from Amazon and/or Prime and de-emphasize Global Store or weak merchant-fulfilled offers for our top picks.
This site is not medical advice. HEPA / CADR language describes particle capture only.
Privacy and tracking: besides the Amazon.ca affiliate links above, every page uses Google Analytics to count visits and shop-link clicks, and five pages (home, buy-Canadian HEPA, wildfire smoke, basement dehumidifiers and winter humidifiers) also load a 1×1 tracking pixel from a third-party service, Surface Injector. See our privacy and tracking disclosure for what each may receive and how to limit it.
Every page also carries a short disclosure in the header. This page is the long form.
