Most air purifiers sold in Canada are imported. Two Montreal companies build HEPA purifiers here: Dupray, whose Bloom is an everyday HEPA-13 unit, and AllerAir, whose heavy-carbon specialty units suit odour- and fume-heavy rooms. Buying one keeps more of your money with Canadian manufacturing and workers.
“Made in Canada” is a specific claim. Canada’s Competition Bureau expects the last substantial transformation to happen here, with at least 51% of direct costs incurred in Canada. A Canadian brand that manufactures abroad does not qualify, and we do not label it that way.
